Why I Am Running

I love Idaho. I love Coeur d’Alene. This is home.

I’m running because I care deeply about what happens here — and I’ve seen how much leadership matters.

I was raised to believe that when something needs doing, you step forward. Over the years, that’s what I’ve done.

Voters elected me to serve on the Coeur d’Alene School Board. Then, neighbors elected me to represent our precinct in the local Republican Party. And when North Idaho College entered a season of instability that threatened its accreditation and our local economy, I stepped forward again — helping our community understand what was truly at stake.

It wasn’t political theater. It was about protecting an institution that supports families, jobs, and opportunity in North Idaho.

Leadership matters.

When governance is steady, families thrive. When leadership loses focus, communities feel it.

I am a lifelong Republican — not simply because of affiliation, but because key Republican values are how I live my life:

Faith.

Family.

Freedom.

To me, these are not slogans — they are responsibilities.

Faith means prayer before decisions and humility in leadership. It means slowing down long enough to listen — to God and to the people I serve — especially when the answers aren’t obvious.

Family means making sure the places we rely on are strong — our schools, our local college, safe neighborhoods, access to healthcare, and real opportunity for the next generation. It also means relationships built on respect, not agendas.

Freedom means limited government and local control. It means being able to live, work, and vote according to your values without intimidation or loyalty tests.

Idahoans are capable of solving Idaho’s challenges. Idaho’s best solutions are rooted here — not imported, not scripted, not driven by noise.

This race could be tough. Outside interests will engage. They will spend money.

I’ve been tested before. I’m still here.

Politics can be loud. I won’t get distracted.

Voters deserve a real choice — steady Republican leadership, local accountability, and the self-reliant spirit that defines North Idaho.

I feel called to serve. My eyes are wide open.

Because this is home.

And it’s worth it.
